Fabulous for Less Under $250: Dad's Back to School Style

The Look: A great Button-Down + Chinos = Bonafide Chic. You can't go wrong with this combo. It's almost like you didn't try (almost). I went for an all neutral ensemble again; it just feels a bit more sophisticated. Plus, the best thing about neutrals is they work with everything. Comfort is key here. For shoes, go for something more streamlined like vintage style sneakers. My husband swears by his favorite Converse. They're super affordable and great on his feet. A textured leather belt and blacked-out watch adds a nice touch. And I love a stylish messenger for men. This Fossil bag has great detail and is designed with extra compartments for all his classroom needs.

Note: Denim is also a fantastic option for this look. So, be sure to grab one too. Love this straight-leg style by H&M.

Fabulous for Less Under $250: Mom's Back to School Style

We're just a couple weeks away from another school year. But our kids aren't the only ones gearing up for class. Due to life's events and the shift in our economy, many parents are also heading back to campus to further their education.

Hitting the books again... Balancing life at home... Not exactly the easiest transition. So the last thing you'd want to worry about is "what to wear." Getting an education is important, but so is fitting in. Creating a style that's both current and age-appropriate is a definite must.

The Look: Chic. Grown-up. This look takes the building blocks of every wardrobe and gives it new life with sophisticated extras. The most versatile piece you'll find this fall is the classic blazer. Get it in a neutral black or grey. Not just for class, but it's flawless for the weekend with a skirt, shorts or dress. Done in jersey, this jacket by Zara is the perfect mix of comfort and style. Roll the sleeves to get a peek of the fabulous contrasting stripes. Add a comfy tee and great pair of dark-washed denim which is flattering on everyone. These skinnies by Forever 21 are a major steal under $20!! Another versatile and timeless addition is a two-tone watch. Bring in a modern pendant necklace for a touch of edge. For class, my bag of choice is a roomy leather shopper. This gorgeous Zara bag gives you the option of carrying it two ways. Love the patent detail! And leopard ballet flats bring the chic volume to any ensemble. This adorable pair is available at your local Target stores. Get this entire look for just under $250!!

Note: This season, there's no specific gotta have it trend in denim. Whether straight-leg, bootcut, flare, skinny or boyfriend; it's whatever works for your body. Go for what you love.
