2010 Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet: Hollywood's Best Dressed

The cast of 'Glee,' 'Mad Men,' and 'Modern Family' all raked in at last night's Primetime Emmy Awards. But who took home best dressed honors on the red carpet?

Favorites of the night stood out in blues, black, and pales. And of course, there was that one very controversial bright blue dress. So who do you think wore it best?

January Jones wore what??! Yes, we're all still talking about the Atelier Versace and not in a very good way. I'll have to disagree with the majority on this one. The style was not only fashion-forward, but felt it paid homage to her "Mad Men" 60s character. The tea-length and full skirt did just that while long train made it very current and modern. Loved the silk satin petals and cobalt blue was absolutely stunning on her. Winner!!!

"Vampire Diaries" Nina Dobrev radiated in a pale one-shoulder Zuhair Murad. The lace was beautiful and thigh slit not too much. Loved everything about it! Very elegant and perfect for the Emmys.

Black can be boring, but this gown by Tony Ward Haute Couture was spectacular! Loved the draping, sexy deep neckline, and her body looked amazzzing! Kelly Osborne's best red carpet yet.

Gorgeous!!! "Glee's" Lea Michele totally owns it in this ruffled navy gown by Oscar de la Renta. The fit is just right and color so striking with her dark hair. Multi-colored diamond necklace by Lorraine Schwartz and pumps by Brian Atwood.

Eva Longoria Parker never seems to go wrong with a mermaid silhouette. This time in a black chantilly rose lace gown by Robert Rodriguez. It hugged her curves just perfectly and stunning textured details on this one. Bare neckline was really sexy and loved the upswept hair.

From designers Richard Chai to Dolce & Gabbana, the looks went from Euro grunge to sporty ski lodge to dapper men in dark suits. One thing's for certain, it's all about boots this season. Nearly every designer showed some style of lace-up boot. A major must for fall!!

Trends to note
: chunky sweaters (in turtlenecks and Fair Isle), plaids, sherling and bomber jackets, wool overcoats, suits in grey flannel, and lace-up boots in rugged and combat styles.

Fabulous for Less Under $300: Back to School Chic

It's that time again... Summer is ending and our kids are getting back to school (early Cali schedule here-we're already in week two). So the inspiration for this fab for less... Back to school style highlighting one of this season's must-have, the skinny cargo pant.

The Look: For fall, I love dressing in layers. And this is one of my favorite ways to wear the military-inspired trend. Casual, chic, and comfortable. Love the color palette of this one: shades of grey, green/olives, and chic neutrals. Going with a wardrobe staple, the cardi is perfect for those early morning drop-offs. Layer with a white slouchy tee and add a fabulous printed scarf for color. Accessorize with a studded leather wrap watch, simple gold hoops, and finishing with another fall favorite; the laced bootie.

Note: A gold metal watch would also be fabulous with this look. Click on photo for larger view.

Celeb Style: Whitney Port Summertime Hotness in Black & White

Whitney Port has been getting a lot of attention for her style choices. Although I can't say I agree with everything she wears, Whitney definitely worked it last night at the Kitson event in West Hollywood. "The City" star opted for a black/white zigzag dress by Blu Moon, black patent booties, and a coordinating crossbody bag by Rebecca Minkoff. Head-to-toe it's flirty and feminine; love the edgy extras. A gorgeous summertime "night out" look.

Blackberry Torch Launch Party: Best Dressed Pretties

Blackberry held quite the party Wednesday night in Beverly Hills for the launch of their new phone, the Torch. With rapper/artist Drake on hand to entertain the crowd, no doubt the pretties would show. From the looks of it, red carpet regulars Lea Michele, Twilight's Anna Kendrick and Nikki Reed, and Kristin Cavallari all came dressed to shine. Who do you think was best dressed at the party?

"Glee" star Lea Michele looking summery and chic in Jenni Kayne and Brian Atwood heels. Although really pretty in this ensemble, would have loved her in something sexier for this event.

"One Tree Hill" actress Danneel Harris super sexy in a sheer blousy midnight top and embellished mini. Looooved this! The color is gorgeous against her skin-tone and dark hair. And a little sparkle definitely says evening. My best dressed of night!!

Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari in a nude long-sleeve ALC dress. This shade could have been tricky to pull off. But Kristin looks amazing in this slinky number.

One word... OMG!!! Christina Ricci looked stunning! Was it the dress, glowy skin, hair or smokey makeup?

"Twilight's" Nikki Reed showing off her fabulous legs in a silvery/grey leopard dress. So beautiful, but could have done more with accessories on this one.

"Twilight" co-star, Anna Kendrick went for a black curve-hugging Alice + Olivia and cutout sandals. I'm a huge fan of the label, but like Nikki the look is a bit safe. Would have loved a statement necklace or cocktail ring.

Santa Monica Place: A One-Stop Fabulous Shopping Spot

With the announcement of a new shopping destination, you can imagine my glee . Friday, August 6th for the grand re-opening of Santa Monica Place. Believe me, it was on the calendar. A slight detour in the schedule... I waited until Monday to visit. After seeing all the coverage from last Friday, it seemed much of Los Angeles was in attendance. It was reported approximately 3,000 to 4,000 people turned up for the celebration. Insane!!!!

For visitors, things to know and what to expect:

1. You'll find the best parking in the mall ramp. A quick walk to the elevators and you're there. Bonus, the 1st two hours are free!

2. There's three levels of shopping goodness with upsale retailers:
Bloomingdale's, Burberry, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Nordstrom (opening end of the month), Tory Burch, and more.

3. For the trendsetter:
All Saints, Juicy Couture, Betsey Johnson, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Ever, Fluxus, and more.

4. Something for the kids: The
Disney Store has the most darling viewing area for movies and fun in-store events for your kiddies. This Sat Aug 14th is make your own Perry the Platypus from the popular series "Phineas and Ferb." Session 1: 11:00 am Session 2: 1:00 pm

5. What to Eat: Located on the 3rd level with views of the Pacific and Santa Monica Pier is the
Dining Deck. This indoor/outdoor food court serves up everything from Chinese, Cali burgers to made-to-order sushi. Those who prefer to dine-in, check out the six world-inspired restaurants.

6. Plan to stay awhile. You'll want to stroll the very chic
Third Street Promenade for more fabulous shopping starting with celeb favorite Kitson located on the corner of Broadway. Other favorites include: Diesel, H&M, AX Armani Exchange, Zara, and more. Comfy sandals/shoes are a definite must.

Whether wardrobe or just window shopping, Santa Monica Place has everything a girl/guy wants. Plus, stunning open-air design and ocean view is simply breathtaking. Now, one of my favorite places!
